How it works

Open Djed acts as a bridge between users and the official Djed protocol developed by COTI/IOG. Instead of interacting directly with the original COTI application, users can leverage Open Djed’s open-source tools and APIs to access the same stablecoin functionalities.

Key Concepts​

  • Alternative Interface: Open Djed provides a set of APIs, SDKs, and user interfaces that communicate with the Djed protocol, bypassing the limitations of the official app.
  • Decentralized Access: Users and developers can interact with Djed from anywhere, without regional restrictions..
  • Transparency: All code is open for review, audit, and improvement by the community.
  • Open and auditable: All code is open-source, enabling transparency, community review, and independent improvements.
  • Enhanced features: Open Djed offers additional functionalities not available in the original COTI app, such as translations, advanced analytics and a Shen yield simulator.
